Moderator, Anjum Sultana (National Director, YWCA National Director of Public Policy and Strategic Communications), will be joined by:

  • Margo Greenwood, Professor at UNBC, with years of experience focused on the health and wellbeing of Indigenous children, families and communities, and member of the federal expert panel on early learning and child care data and research
  • Chantelle Krish, mother of two young children and longstanding advocate and activist for equity and inclusion, has held leadership roles with the Government of BC and YWCA Metro Vancouver where she designed and executed award-winning campaigns and influenced policy change at the provincial and federal levels
  • David Macdonald, Senior Economist with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, co-author of the annual child care parent fee reports, and author of a recent comparative analysis of the Conservative Party of Canada’s proposed refundable child care tax credit
  • Sophie Mathieu, Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology and postdoctoral researcher at Université TÉLUQ, with particular expertise on Quebec’s approach to early learning and child care and author of numerous recent articles on the Quebec child care experience
