Voices for Change: Your $10aDay Child Care Stories

“I was paying so much every month for child care, it was this huge weight my family was carrying. Then with the $10aDay spot, I felt like I had room to breathe.”

“With the $10aDay, knowing that I could afford child care now. It’s the only way I could start a family. It’s simple like that.”

“I love my work so much. It’s definitely not easy, but every day is different. When I’m valued, it makes it easier to focus on the best thing about my day, the kids.”

These are the stories of $10aDay child care, and they are POWERFUL! Do you have a story about how $10aDay child care has impacted your life?

Join Child Care Now and the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario for a transformative cross-Canada storytelling workshop to find and share YOUR powerful story! Whether you’re an early childhood educator, a student, or a parent, your voice matters, and we want to help you share it. Stories can be shared with other families, educators, decision makers and through online platforms – and we’re excited to support you to do so.

In the session, you’ll:

  • Discover the power of storytelling to advocate for change.
  • Learn some practical skills to craft a compelling narrative.
  • Gain confidence to share your experiences.
  • Receive personalized support and feedback.

This year’s National Days of Action for Child Care (November 20-30) are approaching, and this is your chance to ensure your child care story is heard! Together, we can amplify our voices and ensure that $10aDay child care continues to change lives for years to come.

**Please note that the sessions are available in English only.

This workshop is available at three different times to accommodate participants Canada-wide.
