Location: Remote, across Canada

Starting Salary: $66,300 per year, plus comprehensive benefits plan
Hours of work: flexible work week of 35 hours / week, occasional evening and weekend work when events require it.
Child Care Now, Canada’s national child care advocacy organization, is seeking an Outreach Coordinator for at least twelve months to support Child Care Now’s advocacy work. The position will assist in carrying out Child Care Now’s project: “Educators Matter: Workforce Policy for Quality Early Learning and Child Care”.
The Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Policy & Project Manager, the Executive Director and members of other Child Care Now project teams.
We are searching for candidates who are:
- Passionate about improving the working conditions, compensation and recognition of early childhood educators and others who work in early learning and child care.
- Experienced in doing communications and outreach for not-for-profit (and preferably small under-resourced) organizations,
- Committed to advocating for high quality, affordable, inclusive, universally-accessible child care
This is a job for someone who:
- Knows how to organize and mobilize support for public policy change
- Can show previous success in collaborating with others to get work done effectively and efficiently with limited resources
- Has the energy, desire and skills to take on a wide variety of responsibilities and tasks including:
- writing for diverse audiences,
- generating and posting website content,
- preparing and distributing e-letters,
- creating social media content,
- organizing all aspects of events both in person, and online,
- developing educational materials,
- moderating engagement sessions,
- preparing policy briefs,
- assisting with research projects.

Paid interview policy
All candidates who participate in an interview will be paid $75 as compensation for their time in the interview process.
