Workforce focus groups on qualifications: Child Care Now wants to hear from educators

Child Care Now’s Educators Matter project will be holding virtual focus group discussions with the early learning and child care (ELCC) workforce on the topic of qualifications.

We are connecting with educators across the country in small, provincial/territorial, and employment role-based focus groups to discuss educators’ experiences, ideas, and perspectives on workforce roles and qualifications. These conversations will inform Child Care Now’s vision, roadmap and policy recommendations on the issue. For this discussion, we are looking specifically for those working in licensed, centre-based child care.

Focus group discussions will take place 7:00PM – 8:15PM local time between January 15 – February 11th, 2026. 

Preparation is not needed. Educators who attend the focus groups in each province/territory will be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to a store of your choosing.
