Child care coalition of Manitoba meets with Minister Schmidt

The Child Care Coalition of Manitoba met with Minister Schmidt and the Cabinet Committee on Education and Early Learning and Child Care last November, following their Day of Action, in response to our call for provincial leadership to create new public spaces under CWELCC.

In this meeting, the Coalition reiterated the value of the $10-a-day child care plan and the need for the government to change the way the province funds the expansion of Manitoba’s child care system from a passive, application-based process to one that works more closely with school divisions and other public bodies to accelerate progress toward the CWELCC expansion targets.
